Join us in the evening as American Revolutionary War living history reenactors tell tales of the fight in the backcountry of South Carolina, of how a local woman bested a British officer, snake trials and Tories and Patriots. Of missed opportunities and getaways, of Hessian soldiers falling in love.

A ticket entitles you to hear members of the Hugh Giles Regiment, Britton’s Neck Militia Reenactors Denley Caughman, Dusty Owens and others as they spin a yarn rooted in history.

The reenactors will be set up at Hopsewee, showcasing colonial surveying methods, open fire cooking, arms of the day and more.

The 45-minute story-telling event is a ticketed item but will only be available on Friday, Nov. 22, at 4:00 and 5:00 pm.

The reenactors are at Hopsewee once a month and are always on the lookout for new recruits. See you there!
